Captain C. Hargrave

Captain Cliff Hargrave began his law enforcement career in 1985 with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer. Captain Hargrave remained with the Sheriff’s Office until 1991 and during his tenure also served as a Patrol Deputy, Narcotics Officer and a Lieutenant in Investigations.

In 1991, Captain Hargrave was hired by the City of Orange Police Department where he served several years as a Patrol Officer before being promoted to the rank of Captain. After several years supervising patrol, Captain Hargrave was assigned to lead the Criminal Investigation Division until his retirement in January of 2016.

In June of 2016, Captain Hargrave returned to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office as a crime scene investigator and recently was promoted to Captain over the Criminal Investigations Division.

Captain Hargrave is a lifelong Orange County resident and has raised his children here. He understands the importance of having a quality law enforcement agency and an efficiently run office.
