The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has a Livestock Division that utilizes a Deputy to respond to loose livestock and assist the animal owners in recovering their animals and placing them back in their pens. When the owner of the animals cannot be found, we transport the animals to our livestock facility. On occasion we have the grim task of recovering animals that have been treated cruelly. Some of these animals are beyond help, while other times we are able to get them the proper medical care needed to save their lives. We also have the responsibility to investigate criminal offenses on individuals who cruelly treat animals. This is just a few of the many tasked preformed by our Livestock Division at the Sheriff’s Office.
If you have questions or concerns, you may contact the Sheriff’s Office at (409) 883-2612 or (409) 769-6391.
