  1. Registration

For most courses, individuals licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), employed in the criminal justice field or simply maintaining their peace officer license, are eligible to attend courses.

Officers who are currently employed and licensed will have priority over those individuals not employed or simply maintaining their license. Enrollment is limited on a first enrollment basis.

It is recommended that any student who has registered for a class, contact this office prior to attending, to assure the class has not been cancelled and/or rescheduled. Every attempt will be made to notify you if a class must be cancelled or rescheduled.

    Class Attendance

Students are required to attend the entire training session so that successful completion can be reported to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCOLE). If an emergency arises, any absences will be reviewed by the course instructor and training coordinator. Absences that exceed 10% of the total class hours will result in no credit for the course.

    Dress Code

Although we want you to feel comfortable and relaxed, we do ask that you dress in a casual but professional manner. Duty uniforms or professional / business casual dress is requested. If there is any violation of the dress code you will be sent home.  Items which should not be worn in the classroom include:

    • Halter tops
    • Hats/caps
    • Sandals
    • Shorts
    • T-shirts
    • Tank tops

    • Collared shirts or collarless dress shirts are suggested for male attendees. If the course requires you to be outdoors, the dress code will be relaxed for that day. You may visit our Rules page for a full listing of our facility rules.

We look forward to serving your training needs.
